As you know, these last few months were an important moment for France: the Presidency.
I lived this event in England through English Medias (BBC, The Guardian, The Times...) but also through French Medias (Le Monde, Le Parisien, Le Petit Journal, La Nouvelle Edition....). Thank you Internet!
This morning, the headlines in British newspapers read:
François Hollande 51,9% Nicolas Sarkozy 48,1% |
THE GUARDIAN: "French president François Hollande promises 'a new start' for Europe."
The article of the Guardian begins with the European dimension and the new hope that F.Hollande raises in French people mind. Then, it talks about Germany and the austerity budget plan, and finally it concludes with the Greece because On the same day in Greece, neo-Nazis entered the country’s parliament after
national elections that wiped out mainstream parties that had supported
austerity measures imposed by the EU... Should we have to see a subliminal message?
THE TIME: "France turns left with revolt against cuts."
Subheadings: "Hollande: Mr Normal" "Adieu Sarko"
THE INDEPENDENT: "François Hollande ousts Nicolas Sarkozy to become president."
THE TELEGRAPH: "France elections 2012: François Hollande victory sets EU on course for turmoil."
Hollande's key words at the end of his discourse, are "Justice et Jeunesse" which will be his "priority".
I hope that he knows the other key words linked to these two main themes such as education, unemployment, universities....
However the foreign newspapers are more interested in the situation of the France in crisis and European austerity plan rather than Hollande's priority even if he mentions French relationships with Germany. Anyway we have 5 years to see how Hollande evolves in his new functions... what we could hope, it is that France does not become like Greece...
See you later!

That would have been good news if it hadn't end up with a twisted ankle. non sequitur? That's Sarkozy's fault because of the K! Can't you see? Just remember: it's the 11th letter of the alphabet and a forboding number it's been since St Augustine: the insignia of sin!
RépondreSupprimerLong Live Hollande and my ankle with a nicer K, the normal key to running.
