Deal

[ I went to Deal this week end. ]

Blue sky,
Shining sun,
and calm sea
welcomed me.

Boys joined me in Hight Street,
and we went to Water Street.

I discovered their new family house which is wonderful, and very "cosie" (with the english accent),
They showed me around the house (basement, first floor, and second floor)
I said: "Trop Beaaaauuuuuuu"
and they showed me my bedroom....
I felt like the "Princess and the Pea" as I said!

[All people who saw the bedroom, said exactly the same thing]

Then,

LUNCH TIME
and we went out walking to smell fresh air in the front of the sea.

On pebbles, some ships sleep waiting for the waves come and lap against their hull.
One, is named "Julie" and I can't help thinking to my Bestfriend and my dear Gwada'!

Dear fishermen, your little houses in front of the sea are so cute!
When you walk, you only see the back of the houses,
And when you have the curiosity to looking for what is hidden on the front,
You discover a fish and a flag dancing on the door under the shining sun!

It was not the miraculous draught of fishes!!!

[Night: in the Princess and the Pea's bed, but contrary to the Princess,
I didn't have any pains... Conclusion: I'm not a Princess ^^ ]

The following day was completely opposed to Friday, it was cold, rainy and....
I had to read Ezra Pound's poems and essay to prepare my seminar,
Until, James Joyce knocked on the door with his masterpiece Ulysses

"ENJOY!"

I was saved by Daniel & Martin's friends who came to have a drink
They were horrified when they saw that I have to read this book,
Telling me that I needed a lot of courage!
However I was consolated by "bubbles" and a wonderful roasted chicken (with roasted potatoes, Brussels sprout and broccoli) prepared by Daniel
And a fantastic crumble with chocolate and pears cooked by Martin.

Sunday I arrived at 3pm in Canterbury, driven back home by Daniel.

Thank you sooooo much Angels,
I was glad to see you

My week-end in 3 words:
"Recharging my batteries"

How to make a crêpe?

"Easy peasy"

 Sauf le pliage...

On leur a montré une fois et après ils ont pratiqué!

Ca a donné des crêpes à moitié pliées, avec des formes atypiques ou trop farcies!!!
C'était très rigolo,
ils ont apprécié.

&

Nous?
On était raviiiiiie

Eux?
Heureux d'avoir fait cette découverte

[Can I have the receipe?]

A Refaire...

On a juste eu envie de partager un peu de gastronomie car, en général, tous le monde est d'accord sur ca!
C'est mieux que de partager des canettes vides et une boite à pizza dans la douche (d'ailleurs eux, n'étaient pas conviés... Non mais!)

See you soon !

Les joies du partage....

Hier soir:
Une canette de bière (vide) s'est retrouvée dans les toilettes comme par enchantement

Ce matin:
Une boite à pizza, dans la douche

Je crois qu'Agatha Christie va devoir résoudre The murderer of Canterbury.

[What am I suppose to do?]

The Iron Lady

I'm back!

Yesterday I went to the cinema to watch "The Iron Lady" by Phyllida Lloyd, telling the story of Margaret Thatcher, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1979 to 1990. She was the leader of the conservative party. I didn't know this figure of the English politic, or I mean that I just knew her name.
The story is told through Margaret Thatcher's memories: the film opens on the old Iron Lady who is assisted by the housekeeper, I guess and by her daughter. So the film shows the life of a young woman who decides to make politic such as her father and who leaves her father's grocery to enter at Oxford University. She is the first woman to be sat on the rows of Parliament. The film depicts her lust for power which leads her to her own fall!
After that she always remains dignified and with her legendary authority which gives her the name of "Iron Lady".
However we discover a sick and a tired woman who thinks that her husband is still alive while he is dead... She has hallucinations and she is abandoned by her son.

The main actress of this movie is Meryl Streep who is awesome! First by a wonderful transformation due to her make up, and by her capacity to embody a famous political figure who was liked and hated at the same time. She perfectly moves like Margaret Thatcher, she speaks like her, she imitates her gestures and her expressions. She is one of my favourite actress! She plays different kinds of role comic ("Mamma mia"; "Julie & Julia") or strict ("The Devil wears Prada") and tragic with the Iron Lady. (dealing with irony which sometimes leads to comic)

Now, I know why Margaret Thatcher was at the same time loved and hated by people.
[I was sat next to a blind man... yes I know, it's weird... and he seemed to love Margaret Thatcher because he always hummed the patriotic songs and sometimes he murmured a little "Yeah Maggie!"... He ate nuts, but the problem was that he had to take his nuts in a little box, so I kept a look on that box which wobbled on the shelf and quietly., I held it to avoid that nuts falled on the floor....]

So Go and Watch it !!! ****
But avoid the blind person ^^

[It's just a joke, I don't hate blind people, don't worry!]

After the "Iron Man", the "Iron Lady" !!!

[The film "the Iron Lady" is better!]

See you soon,

Love.
